How do I access the Artificial Life Settings?

The Artificial Life (AL) Settings can be found in the game under Options -> Gameplay -> Advanced Game settings. However in the unmodified game the settings are greyed out, because no AL scripts are used. These settings will only be available, if you install a script that runs as Artificial Life (AL) Plugin.
