To register X Rebirth in the Egosoft forum, you need a forum account. If you don't have one yet, you need to create one first (only a valid email address is needed for that). What steps you have to take to register X Rebirth in the Egosoft forum then depends on what kind of version of the game you have:
1. Retail version
The retail version of X Rebirth comes with a manual with an activation code printed on the back. You can enter this code into the registration field of the "EGOSOFT-preferences" section of your forum profile.
Please note: Not all retail copies of X Rebirth come with a registration code that can be registered in the forum directly. However, since all retail versions are bound to Steam, you can also follow the steps for the Steam version to register your game.
2. Steam version
To register the Steam version of X Rebirth, please follow the steps mentioned here.
3. GOG version
To register the GOG version of X Rebirth, please follow the steps mentioned here.
Please note: After successfully registering any X Rebirth version, you should find an X Rebirth "ticky disk" (gold tick on green disk,  ) in your forum profile and next to your posts.
