There's a report and diagnosis tool built-into Windows, called DXDiag, which can create an overview of your complete system specifications. To run DXDiag, proceed as follows:
- Open the Run window by pressing [Windowskey]+[R].
- Type DXDiag into the box and hit enter.
(In Windows Vista and newer operating systems, it's also possible to run DXDiag by entering DXDiag in the start menu's search and clicking on the dxdiag.exe entry. In Windows XP the Run window can be found in the start menu.)
Let it do its stuff. When it has finished, click on the Save button to create an output file, then open the file in a text editor and copy and paste the text (there will be lots of it) into your forum post.
